The VSP (Vehicle Sound for Pedestrians) module Is located in the front of passenger fender well. It’s there for making sound to alert pedestrians when you are driving under 25Mph. The harness is subjected to a lot of water and commonly fails. If you have one that has failed then you can purchase this harness and cut your old one off and install this new one. Use the supplied low temp solder heat shrink connectors to connect the new connector.
You will also need to make sure your VSP male connector is still viable and in good shape. Clean it with a small q tip or soft toothbrush with isopropyl alcohol and use a small Emery board to clean the contact pins. Use dielectric grease sparingly and plug the new harness that you have connected to the 4 VSP wires. Afterwards use silicone tape to wrap and seal the harness and plug and also wrap with electric loom tape over the silicone tape. This will ensure you get it properly sealed for longevity.
By purchasing this product you accept the risk of modifying your own car. Some mechanical and electrical knowledge is needed so perform this procedure at your own risk. You must agree to not hold Chad Sturgill or Electrified Ocean liable for any issues resulting in use of this wiring harness.
